NOTE: Due to recent transition of the Minister (Commercial Affairs), we will not be accepting interns until further notice. This page will be updated once we resume our internship program. Please feel free to contact us, should you have any questions.
Are you interested in learning more about what we do at the Office of Commercial Affairs? Do you want to earn school credit for it as well? Please consider applying for an unpaid internship here with us.
For internships at the Office of Commercial Affairs for summer (June - August) 2019, the deadline for all applications is close of business March 1st, 2019. We are looking for university or graduate level students in ECONOMICS, TRADE OR INTERNATIONAL TRADE-related fields of study ONLY. All prospective applicants must be fluent in English and Thai. Due to logistical reasons, only a limited number of applications can / will be accepted. Late, incomplete or plagiarized applications, will be removed from consideration. Official replies, requests for additional information and/or skype interviews will take place between March 1st and March 14th and official acceptance notifications will be sent out by the Office of Commercial Affairs on March 15th, 2019, so interns will have sufficient time to prepare all their other necessary internship paperwork and arrangements (i.e.visas, travel, accommodations) prior to the start of summer internships in June/July/August.
For internships during other non-summer periods (such as for graduate level students), rolling admissions will still be accepted.
To be considered for internship, we will require the following information:
- Cover letter indicating specific dates requested for your internship
- Statement of Purpose indicating specific reason for internship and the trade topic you're interested in
- Your resume. Your latest up to date resume / curriculum vitae
All of the above may be forwarded to The Office of Commercial Affairs for further consideration. Again, due to space considerations, not all applicants can or will be accepted, especially if applications are incomplete or are not submitted by the above stated deadlines.
For all other majors or areas of study, please contact the Royal Thai Embassy directly for any other available internships.
