เมื่อวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม ที่ผ่านมา สำนักงานพาณิชย์ในต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงวอชิงตัน (สพต.) โดย น.ส. สุภาวดี แย้มกมล อัครราชทูต (ฝ่ายการพาณิชย์) ได้ต้อนรับและหารือกับ Miss Lynn Stevenson Hatayama เจ้าหน้าที่ด้านการค้า จาก British Embassy Washington เพื่อสร้างเครือข่าย และแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลความเห็นเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้าระหว่างไทย สหราชอาณาจักร กับสหรัฐอเมริกา นโยบายและกฎระเบียบที่สำคัญของสหรัฐฯ และผลของนโยบายดังกล่าวต่อการค้าระหว่างประเทศ รวมถึงความคืบหน้าของการเจรจาการค้าพหุภาคี ได้แก่ กรอบ IPEF และ CPTPP เป็นต้น โดยการหารือดังกล่าว นับเป็นการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ เครือข่ายและความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานด้านการค้าของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตของทั้งสองประเทศคือไทยและสหราชอาณาจักร

On August 22, Miss Supawadee Yamgamol, Minister (Commercial), of the Office of Commercial Affairs, Washington, had an introductory meeting with Miss Lynn Stevenson Hatayama, Trade Policy Officer, of the British Embassy Washington. Their first meeting was to exchange information, and views, on current trade relations between their respective countries and the U.S., including major U.S. trade policies & regulations and their impact upon international trade, and multilateral negotiations, including IPEF and CPTPP.
It was a substantial meeting which demonstrated the cooperation between the trade offices of the Royal Thai Embassy and the British Embassy in Washington.
