เมื่อวันที่ 29 มีนาคม 2566 อัครราชทูต ฝ่ายการพาณิชย์ (น.ส. สุภาวดี แย้มกมล) พร้อมเจ้าหน้าที่สำนักงานพาณิชย์ในต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงวอชิงตัน ได้เข้าพบ Mr. Thomas Healy หุ้นส่วนร้านอาหารบ้านสยาม (Baan Siam) กรุงวอชิงตัน หารือแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลความเห็น เพื่อหาแนวทางในการลดอุปสรรคความท้าทาย รวมถึงเพื่อส่งเสริมและพัฒนาศักยภาพของร้านอาหารไทยในสหรัฐฯ
ทั้งนี้ Baan Siam เป็นร้านอาหารที่ได้รับตราสัญลักษณ์ Thai Select ของกระทรวงพาณิชย์ตั้งแต่ปี 2565 โดย Thai Select เป็นตราสัญลักษณ์ที่มอบให้กับร้านอาหารไทย ที่ให้บริการและจำหน่ายอาหารไทยรสชาติไทยแท้ ผ่านกระบวนการและขั้นตอนของการปรุงอาหารด้วยส่วนผสมตามตำรับอาหารไทย
On March 29th, 2023, Miss Supawadee Yamgamol, Minister (Commercial), together with officials from the Office of Commercial Affairs, Washington, met with Mr. Thomas Healy, Partner of Baan Siam Thai Restaurant in Washington D.C. to discuss and exchange views on how to mitigate obstacles and challenges Including ways to promote Thai restaurants in the United States.
Baan Siam has been certified with ‘Thai Select’ which is a mark of certification awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, to guarantee the authenticity of Thai restaurants meaning the food being served with proper ingredients and spices in the traditional Thai style of cooking.
